Windows Phone 7

By

Microsoft has developed a new mobile platform which is called Windows Phone 7 which is the successor of the earlier Windows Phone 6 Operating System. Microsoft doesn’t have that much presence in the mobile OS market, but with Windows Phone 7 Microsoft is trying to recover the lost ground in the mobile market which has changed dramatically in a couple of years. Windows Mobile 6 was flop, and other mobile OS like iPhone OS became popular because of their innovative design and apps. Android is now hyped to the next iPhone Killer and it also a pretty good competitor out there.

The new version from Microsoft which is Windows Mobile 7 has a new intuitive design and look from the previous version. It has a pretty amazing interface, but it has to take advantage of features and the overall marketplace. It can put up some serious fight with iPhone and Android. The Nokia Lumia series is based on new Windows Phone 7 OS, which has a capacitive touch screen, amazing music and videos features. And the new OS have quite simple and intuitive interface to operate.
One of best feature of Windows Phone 7 is that it has support of XBox live integration and Zune. Of course there are plenty of other third party apps like support for social media Facebook, Twitter.
Windows Phone 7 apps development is based on .NET framework. The Phone 7 Development kit includes different language which is supported by the framework, some of them is Visual Basic, C# etc. This makes app development quite easy and manageable. Developers have to not worry about memory allocation and de-allocation; it’s all up to the .NET framework to figure out.
Windows Phone 7 is quite an interesting operating system making of use Metro Style theme. Same functionality operations are grouped together under large tiles. This makes this interface quite easy to use. It has potential to do well in future.
